Counting of Hamirpur votes on May 25

Smt. Manisha Nanda, Chief Electoral Officer said here today that the counting of votes for 4-Hamirpur Parliamentary Constituency by-election held recently would commence at 7.00 a.m. on 25th May, 2008 at Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Una and Dehra. She said that as many as 1100 officials including four Observers, 18 Returning Officers/Assistant Returning Officers have been deployed for the counting.

Smt. Nanda further informed that the counting of votes would be held assembly segment-wise as such counting of votes of Kot Kahloor assembly segment would be done in Hall No. 1 of Government PG College, Bilaspur, Bilaspur assembly segment in Hall No. 2 of Government PG College, Bilaspur, Ghumarwin assembly segment in Hall No. 3 of Government PG College, Bilaspur whereas counting of votes of Geharwin assembly segment would be undertaken in Hall No. 4 of Government PG College, Bilaspur.

She further informed that counting of assembly segment Nadaun would be done in Room No. 43 (Ground Floor) of Government PG College Hamirpur, of assembly segment Hamirpur would be done in Room No. 143 Government PG College Hamirpur, of assembly segment Bamsan would be done in Room No. 142 Government PG College, Hamirpur, of Mewa assembly segment would be done in Room No. 242 Government PG College Hamirpur, of assembly segment Nadaunta would be done in Room No. 42 (Ground Floor) Government PG College Hamirpur.

She said that counting of Gagret assembly segment would be undertaken in Room No. ABT-04 (Workshop), 1st Floor, Govt. Industrial Training Institute, (New Complex), Viveknagar, Una, of Chintpurni assembly segment would be undertaken in Room No. ABT-03 (Workshop), 1st Floor, Govt. Industrial Training Institute, (New Complex), Viveknagar, Una, of Santokhgarh assembly segment would be undertaken in Room No. ABT-02 (Workshop), Ground Floor, Govt. Industrial Training Institute, (New Complex), Viveknagar, Una, of Kutlehar assembly segment would be undertaken in Room No. AAT-03 (Workshop), 1st Floor, Govt. Industrial Training Institute, (New Complex), Viveknagar, Una and counting of votes of Una assembly segment would be done in Examination Hall, 1st Floor, Govt. Industrial Training Institute (New Complex), Vivek Nagar, Una.

Smt. Nanda further said that counting of votes of Jaswan assembly segment would be held at Hall No. 1 of Government Senior Secondary School, Dehra, of Pragpur assembly segment would be held at Hall No. 2 of Government Senior Secondary School, Dehra and the counting of votes of Jwalamukhi assembly segment would be undertaken at Hall No. 3 of Government Senior Secondary School, Dehra.

She said that counting of Postal Ballot papers will be done in the Room No. 146 (Lab.) 1st Floor, Government PG College Hamirpur.
