Narender Bragta, Horticulture Minister accompanied by his wife Smt. Pushpa Bragta called on H.E. President of India Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil at Retreat near Chharabra here today a nd gifted two rare books titled 'Temples of Himachal' and 'Sanskrit Subhashit Himanjali' to the President. Shri Bragta is a 'Minister in Waiting' for H.E. President during her week-long sojourn at Shimla.
Shri Bragta thanked Smt. Pratibha Patil on behalf of the people of Himachal Pradesh for her visit to Shimla and hoped that sweet memories of the pastoral and scenic beauty of the 'Queen of Hills' and our rich cultural heritage Her Excellency witnessed during her stay would last long. He also presented detailed description and information about famous tourist destinations and also gifted books related on Horticulture and tourism activities in the State.
Shri Bragta said that Himachal Pradesh is known as an apple state, however, the present government is endeavouring to develop it as a fruit bowl of the country. He said that the Government is ensuring best possible amenities for comfortable stay of all visiting domestic and foreign tourists by developing required infrastructure at all tourist resorts since the State has been bestowed with sublime natural beauty and ideal climatic conditions round the year.
He said that both the books contains detailed information about the rich cultural legacy and spiritual and divine reality as reflected in the shrines of different deities in the State.
